  • Location: The camp will be held on the St. Mary’s University campus.
  • Cost: $350 with lunch included.
  • Pre-requisite: No drone piloting experience is required. Basic computer skills and hand-eye coordination activities (sports, video games, art) are strongly preferred.
Drone Programing Camp

This is a four-day camp at St. Mary’s University, focusing on introductory concepts of drone technologies and drone pilot operations. The camp is offered to high school students (ages 14-18) from Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The application deadline is June 30, 2026.

During the camp, students will learn essential drone operation and design concepts. Campers will also cover topics for different exam certifications, such as the FAA TRUST (The Recreational UAS Safety Test), while learning piloting skills such as pre-flight checklists, airspace regulations and weather conditions. The camp is $350, and lunch and snacks will be provided.
